Packaging firm Sealed Air has launched new protective packaging solution, Bubble Wrap IB, to help companies meet rising e-commerce demand.

Sealed Air Unveils Bubble Wrap IB Protective Packaging Solution

In particular, the firm announced the worldwide commercially availability of the 'unpoppable' Bubble Wrap IB cushion packaging material to meet the companies' requirement to enhance their e-commerce and supply chain efficiency.

The flexible, protective air-cellular solution uses air channels that transfer shock away from products while providing enhanced cushioning.

Sealed Air product care president Ken Chrisman said: "As e-commerce continues to redefine the buying experience for consumers and businesses, companies need solutions like Bubble Wrap IB that can help them expedite - and better protect - the shipment of their products."

In addition to creating right-sized packages to deliver exceptional protection, the Bubble Wrap IB allows better damage reduction and minimizes the number of packaging layers for companies.

The packaging solution is also designed to reduce the impact of freight costs and has a significantly smaller carbon footprint.

Sealed Air said that the Bubble Wrap IB can reduce the number of trucks required to supply customer's operation by nearly 97% by inflating at a point of use.

Chrisman added: "Now, with Bubble Wrap IB's self-serve protective packaging, companies around the world can create their packaging on site according to their needs, helping them to reduce freight costs, simplify order fulfillment and optimize the efficiency of their shipping facilities."
