IHKIB, the apparel exporters association based in Turkey’s capital Istanbul, has unveiled a website to act as a meeting point for exporters, buying offices and suppliers.
The association has created the website styleturkish.com, in collaboration with the UN Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund and the Istanbul Development Agency.
The new website provides information and offers services like new, reports and e-learning activities.
The purpose of the portal is to increase visibility and business flexibility of the companies and to enable them to make new contacts.
With US$ 16 billion worth of exports, the readymade garment industry in Turkey employs about 2 million people.
IHKIB members account for about 76 percent of all apparel exports made by Turkey.
